AirForce Delta II

Konami's 2002 GBA flight shooter — released as AirForce Delta Storm in Europe and Deadly Skies in North America — places players in the cockpit of a private mercenary air squadron. Choosing from dozens of officially licensed aircraft including the F-14, F-22, and Su-37, pilots take on air-to-air dogfights, ground-attack runs, and interception missions across desert, ocean, urban, and mountain terrain. The game renders jets and environments in pseudo-3D polygons impressive for the handheld hardware, while a hangar system allows purchasing new planes and upgrading their weapons loadouts — a rare taste of serious aerial combat on the Game Boy Advance.
