Atelier Marie, Elie & Anis: Message on the Gentle Breeze

A GBA alchemy RPG co-developed by Gust and Banpresto and released in 2003, marking the Atelier series' debut on handheld hardware. Players switch freely among three alchemists — Marie, Elie, and Anis — and use an image synthesis system to imaginatively combine existing materials, creating new items and recipes to fill multiple recipe books. The game operates under a five-year time limit, and the ending varies depending on what has been synthesized. The two characters can act independently or cooperate, and paintings can be purchased from an art dealer who drops by the workshop from time to time.
