Capcom's 1990 Famicom side-scrolling action shooter casts players as special agent Smith on a mission to infiltrate South American jungles, dismantle an international drug cartel, and rescue captured hostages and intelligence operatives. The basic pistol can be augmented with grenades and a machine gun; a full suite of moves — ladder climbing, prone firing, jumping, and rolling — supports varied approaches. Every stage demands rescuing all hostages and defeating the area boss; some hostages reward players with access codes or bonus weapons. The gameplay rhythm and the signature "enemies hiding behind doors" design draw clear inspiration from Namco's Rolling Thunder, but add vertical exploration to the mix.
