Contra Spirits

The NES version of Contra Spirits is an unauthorized bootleg port produced by Ei-How Yang in 1995. The source material is Konami's 1992 Super Nintendo release Contra Spirits — known in the West as Contra III: The Alien Wars. Two elite commandos launch a full-scale counterattack after alien invaders occupy Earth, fighting through side-scrolling levels to storm the enemy stronghold. The NES port is substantially scaled back in visuals and audio due to hardware limitations, but retains the core run-and-gun gameplay. It was a typical product of the Asian piracy market that converted SNES titles for NES cartridges during that era.
