Developed by Technos Japan and released in 1990, Downtown Nekketsu March: Super-Awesome Field Day! is a NES sports game in the Kunio-kun series. The story centers on Kunio High hosting a massive inter-school athletics competition featuring events such as sprinting, long jump, swimming, and relay races. True to the series, matches are anything but clean — players can shove, punch, and brawl their way through each event to gain an edge over rivals.
