Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a 2004 GBA tactical RPG by Intelligent Systems. On the continent of Magvel, five Sacred Stones keep the Demon King sealed — until the Grado Empire invades Renais and shatters the peace. Twins Eirika and Ephraim lead separate rebellions as they unravel the truth behind the Demon King's imminent resurrection. The game is the first in the series to feature dual-protagonist branching routes, letting players choose their path after Chapter 8. New mechanics include skill inheritance, optional free-roaming training maps, and a choice between two promotion classes per unit. An optional permadeath toggle makes it an ideal entry point for newcomers and a beloved installment for veterans alike.
