Flame Dragon Knights

Developed by Softstar Entertainment and released in 1995, Flame Dragon Knights is a fantasy strategy RPG in which a young knight is thrust into command of the titular order to resist a dark force invading the empire. Grid-based turn-based battles emphasize terrain elevation, elemental spell counters, and detailed unit leveling and equipment management. The narrative follows a classic hero's journey laced with companion backstories and emotional relationships, supported by abundant hand-drawn event CGs. Blending elements of Fire Emblem and Langrisser, the game stands as one of the finest Chinese-language SRPGs of its era.
