A 1997 DOS racing title co-published by Ocean Software and infoMedia, developed by French studio Blue Sphere, GT Racing 97 delivers arcade-oriented GT car competition rather than hardcore simulation. Players choose from a roster of upgradable sports cars and race across road and off-road circuits in Championship or Practice mode, navigating rival cars and traffic alike. Only two tracks are available from the start; completing championship events unlocks the remainder. Time limits make progression demanding.
