Jurassic Park

Ocean's 1993 DOS action-adventure adapts Spielberg's blockbuster film. As paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, players must navigate Isla Nublar after Nedry sabotages the power grid and the dinosaurs escape — restoring electricity, recovering dinosaur eggs, and evacuating the island. Outdoor areas use a top-down scrolling perspective, while entering buildings such as the Visitor Center and control room switches to a first-person 3D maze view. A tranquilizer gun and CO2 grenades are the tools of choice against Velociraptors and Tyrannosaurus Rex. The mix of facility access codes, maps, and moment-to-moment survival decisions made this one of the standout movie tie-in action games of the early 1990s.
