Napoleon's War

Napoleon's War is a real-time tactics game developed by Lenar and published by Irem in 1988, originally titled Napoleon Senki in Japan and known in Chinese pirate editions as 帝国风暴 or 拿破仑战记. Players assume the role of Napoleon, beginning with the early French Republic campaigns of 1796 and pushing across Europe with infantry, cavalry, and artillery to unite the continent. Each unit type brings complementary strengths: cavalry for speed, swordsmen for heavy damage, musketeers for range, and artillery for breaching fortifications. Battles can run on autopilot or be directed unit by unit, with terrain and formation choices often deciding the outcome — a rare and notable NES real-time strategy title.
