Thundercade

Thundercade is a vertical scrolling shooter developed by UPL in 1987 for arcades, with the NES version ported by SNK. Players ride an armed motorcycle through vertically scrolling battlefields, unleashing machine guns and missiles against enemy tanks, armed helicopters, and infantry. The game features two-player simultaneous co-op across multiple thematically distinct stages, with weapon power-ups scattered throughout and a boss battle capping each level. Dense bullet patterns and explosive visual effects maintain a tense battlefield tempo throughout, faithfully recreating the intensity of the original arcade experience on home hardware.
