Rhythm Tengoku

Nintendo's 2006 Japan-exclusive GBA release and the first entry in the Rhythm Heaven series. The game packs dozens of stylistically distinct rhythm mini-games in which players tap along to music across whimsical scenarios — batting baseballs, strumming guitar, and staging martial arts performances. Controls are intentionally stripped down; nearly every stage relies solely on the A button, placing the entire challenge on precise beat recognition. Its infectiously catchy music and distinctive visual style made Rhythm Tengoku one of the most charming late-era GBA titles, even though it was never officially released outside Japan.
