A vertical shooter developed by Naxat Soft as a competition entry for the Summer Carnival '92 event. Recca is celebrated for pushing NES hardware to its absolute limits — dense bullet patterns, multi-layer parallax scrolling, and smooth sprite animations that left contemporary titles far behind. Players pilot a fighter through waves of enemies, collecting power-ups and taking on bosses.
