Andro Dunos

Developed by Visco and released in 1992 on the SNK Neo Geo MVS arcade platform, Andro Dunos is a horizontal scrolling shooter in which players repel an alien invasion across nine stages — spanning devastated city ruins, deep space, and the heart of the enemy fortress. The defining mechanic is a four-mode weapon system — homing, charge, spread, and piercing — switchable at any moment, with each mode independently upgradeable. Large mechanical and biological bosses anchor the end of every stage, and two-player co-op is fully supported. One of the few original shooters in the early Neo Geo library, it received a direct sequel in 2022 when PixelHeart released Andro Dunos II.
