Prince of Persia 2

Designed by Jordan Mechner and published by Brøderbund in 1993, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame picks up immediately after the first game. The Prince returns to Persia only to have his identity stolen by the sorcerer Jaffar's illusions, leaving him branded an outlaw. Players navigate fifteen treacherous levels — deserts, island ruins, dense forests, and volcanic mountains — through climbing, leaping, swordplay, and precise platforming. The signature fluid rotoscoped animation is refined further, and a shadow-double mechanic adds a haunting twist: the Prince must surrender himself to defeat the final enemy. Brutally difficult, with a beautiful ending.
