3 on 3 Dunk Madness

A 1996 arcade basketball game developed by Video System that never reached mass production, remaining a prototype with only a handful of known units in existence. The three-on-three street basketball gameplay emphasizes fast pacing and dunk spectacle, including a backboard-shattering mechanic. In single-player mode, players choose from four fictional teams representing Houston, Chicago, Seattle, and Phoenix, and the cabinet supports up to four simultaneous players. Due to its extreme rarity, the game has survived primarily through MAME emulation, representing an unusual sports-genre detour for Video System, a developer otherwise known for its shoot-'em-up output.
