Alien vs. Predator

A 1994 Capcom beat-'em-up built around the dual film franchises. Players choose from two armored Colonial Marine soldiers or two Predators, fighting together through the alien-overrun city of San Drad. The move set is extensive, allowing players to grab pulse rifles and flamethrowers, and to unleash devastating special attacks at the cost of health. Boss encounters include the Alien Queen and a mutated military experiment. Fluid combo systems, brilliantly animated sprites, and cinematic presentation make it one of the defining belt-scroll action titles of the CPS-2 era.
