About this game
A vertical-scrolling shooter ported from the arcade to the Famicom by Data East in 1986. Players fly the B-Wing fighter through 24 stages of alien invasion, with the game's defining gimmick being a set of mid-stage Wing attachments — laser, missiles, shield, bomb, and nearly ten others — that can be picked up and swapped for varied offensive strategies. Taking a hit strips the current Wing and reverts the ship to its bare form, forcing players to reclaim lost equipment. Large bosses cap each stage, and the game's punishing difficulty and text-heavy endings give it a distinctive identity among early Famicom shooters.
