Balloon Fight

A 1985 Nintendo NES title inspired by the arcade classic Joust. Players steer a character kept aloft by head-mounted balloons, flapping to climb and maneuvering to pop enemy balloons before finishing off grounded foes before they can reinflate. Falling into the water or being snatched by a lurking sea creature ends a life. Beyond the main mode, the beloved Balloon Trip stage sends players on a side-scrolling flight through a field of electric sparks, rewarding rhythm and endurance above all. An emblematic early NES co-op and score-attack title, its memorable soundtrack was composed by Hirokazu Tanaka.
