Breath of Fire II

Breath of Fire II is a fantasy RPG by Capcom, originally released for the Super Famicom in 1994 and ported to the Game Boy Advance in 2001. Young dragon warrior Ryu discovers that the Holy Eva Church revered in his village is a front for an evil god, and sets out with childhood friend Nina and other companions to expose the truth. The game retains menu-driven turn-based combat and Ryu's dragon transformations, while introducing Shaman Fusion, which lets party members absorb elemental spirits to transform mid-battle. The GBA version adds a dash button, new illustrations, a revised translation, and a township-building system where recruited NPCs open shops.
