Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers

Developed by Capcom in 1990 and based on Disney's animated series Rescue Rangers, this side-scrolling action game casts players as Chip and Dale working to foil the villainous Fat Cat's scheme. The core mechanic is distinctive: neither chipmunk can attack directly — instead, they must pick up crates, apples, and other objects scattered across each stage and hurl them at enemies. Players can also duck inside a crate for temporary protection. Stages move cheerfully through a kitchen, toy store, factory, and beyond.
