About this game
Part of the Nekketsu series, Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge was released by Technos in 1992 for the NES. Players lead the Kunio team against four rival schools across five outlandish athletic events: hurdle racing, swimming, fencing, rooftop jumping, and a team brawl. Conventional rules are thrown out entirely — hitting, tripping, and attacking opponents with weapons are all fair game, keeping the action delightfully chaotic. Both single-player and two-player modes are supported, with each event featuring unique moves and special techniques. Prize money can be spent on equipment and stamina items before each event, and the game's cartoon art style and rule-breaking humor make it a standout entry in the Nekketsu sports spin-off lineup.
