Gekido Advance: Kintaro's Revenge

NAPS team's 2002 GBA beat-'em-up is a handheld spin-off of the PlayStation Gekido series. Karate fighter Tetsuo is dispatched by his mentor to a mysterious village to investigate a string of child disappearances, ultimately clashing with the depraved oni warrior Kintaro. Combat preserves the series' hard-hitting feel with punches, kicks, grabs, and combos, plus the ability to pick up weapons and environmental objects to hurl at enemies. Hand-drawn backgrounds and fluid animations frame a chapter-driven story with boss fights, puzzles, and multiple endings — a standout GBA beat-'em-up.
