About this game
Released by Compile in 2002 for the GBA, Guru Logi Champ is a Japan-exclusive bite-sized logic puzzle. The core mechanic is a block-placement puzzle: a target shape sits at the center of the screen, and players launch colored blocks from all four sides of the grid; each block slides across the board until it strikes a wall or another block. The goal is to recreate the target pattern within a limited number of moves. While the rules are easy to grasp, later stages demand sharp spatial reasoning and the ability to think several steps backwards. Cheerful cartoon visuals, a brisk soundtrack, and a lightweight pace make it a quintessential handheld commuter game. Never released outside Japan, it stands as one of Compile's last pure puzzle titles.
