Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

Developed by Marvelous and released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town is the benchmark handheld entry in the Harvest Moon series. Players inherit their grandfather's neglected farm in Mineral Town, tending crops and livestock through the four seasons while mining ore, joining festivals, and building bonds with townsfolk. Five marriageable female characters can be romanced through daily gifts and story events. Core gameplay revolves around managing time and stamina while upgrading tools and learning to cook. The warm, charming pixel art provides a soothing experience with substantial replay value. A companion version featuring a female protagonist, Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town, launched the same year.
