Kickle Cubicle

A 1990 NES puzzle-action game from Irem, Kickle Cubicle takes place in Dream Land after the villainous King Thirst has frozen four kingdoms and sealed their princesses inside Dream Bags. Playing as the young hero Kickle, players traverse icy overhead-view stages: breathe cold air to freeze enemies into ice blocks, kick those blocks to smash other foes, and strategically use them to bridge gaps or collect Dream Bags needed to clear each stage. The game spans four worlds with thirty main stages and ten additional boss encounters. Clean mechanics, compact puzzle design, and a brisk pace make it an underrated NES gem.
