Kiki Kaikai

This GBA entry draws from Taito's 1986 arcade original. Players control Sayo, a Shinto shrine maiden armed with an offertory wand and paper talismans, battling demons and supernatural creatures in stages that blend side-scrolling action with Japanese folk mythology. Gameplay revolves around tossing talismans and purifying enemies on contact, giving each stage a distinct and memorable rhythm. The series reached Western audiences as Pocky & Rocky, earning praise for its refreshing Japanese aesthetic and cooperative two-player mode.
