Kishin Douji Zenki: Battle Raiden

Hudson's 1995 Super Famicom side-scrolling action game is based on the manga and anime series Kishin Douji Zenki. With the demon god Zenki free after a thousand-year imprisonment, the villain Karma summons the six Rokudo demons to ravage the world, and a young female onmyoji calls upon Zenki to fight by her side. Players normally control Zenki in his small, chibi child form, but filling the power gauge triggers a transformation into his towering adult form, capable of unleashing flame-charged punches and devastating special moves. Eight stages span shrine grounds, volcanoes, and demon realms; each boss corresponds to one of the Rokudo demons from the original series. Faithful to its source material and strongly aimed at fans of the anime.
