Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger

Bandai's 1993 NES action game adapts the Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger tokusatsu series — the Super Sentai entry that became the foundation for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers overseas. Players choose from five Rangers — Tyranno, Mammoth, Trike, Tiger, and Pteran — each clad in dinosaur armor, fighting through six stages against the forces of the witch Bandora. Cutscenes and special-move animations punctuate the action between levels, and boss encounters can be finished by summoning the combined mecha Daizyujin. Fast sword combat, fluid animations, and a faithful recreation of the show's world make this one of the more polished NES Super Sentai adaptations.
