About this game
Released by Nintendo in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance, Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a puzzle-action game and spiritual successor to the 1994 Game Boy title Donkey Kong. After Donkey Kong steals a batch of popular Mini-Mario toys from a factory, Mario pursues him across six themed worlds. Each stage unfolds in two phases: first, Mario solves mechanical puzzles, retrieves a key, and reaches the exit door; then he guides a rescued Mini-Mario toy safely through obstacle-laden bonus stages. Mario's expanded move set — including backflips, handstands, triple jumps, and rope-walking — keeps the gameplay dynamic, and every world closes with a Donkey Kong boss battle.
