Monster in My Pocket

A side-scrolling action game developed by Konami for the NES in 1992, based on the British Monster in My Pocket toy line. Shrunk down by the villain Warlock, players choose to control either the Vampire or Frankenstein's Monster and navigate everyday environments — kitchens, living rooms, streets, and graveyards — that loom enormous at their tiny scale, battling creatures dispatched by their nemesis. Combat mixes kicks and punches with environmental objects that can be grabbed and used as weapons. Both single-player and two-player cooperative modes are available. Its playful premise, cartoon-style animation, and solid feel made it a beloved underrated gem from Konami's late NES library.
