Night Raid

Night Raid is a DOS action shooter developed by Argo Games and published by Software Creations in 1992, reworking the classic Paratrooper formula. Players man a lone ground-based anti-aircraft gun, firing upward at enemy planes and paratroopers dropping through a pitch-dark sky. Aircraft deploy troopers who crawl toward the cannon from both sides; when four accumulate on either flank, they detonate the gun and end the run. Later stages intensify the challenge with faster jets, bombers, and more frequent drop patterns. With EGA night-battle pixel art and controls limited to rotate and fire, the game's appeal is pure arcade-style score-chasing pressure.
