Sangokushi

The GBA entry in Koei's Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategy series, set against the turbulent backdrop spanning China's late Han Dynasty through the eventual unification under Jin. Players choose a warlord — Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Quan, or others — and pursue dominance through domestic development, diplomacy, and military conquest. The game offers rich strategic elements including farming, conscription, and siege warfare, while faithfully recreating numerous historical generals and events. It challenges players to master statecraft and bring the Central Plains under a single rule.
