Snow Bros.

Originally developed by Toaplan and published by Data East, Snow Bros. is a fixed-screen action game later ported to the NES. Players control snowmen Nick and Tom, who spray snow to encase enemies in snowballs, then send those rolling to topple others for chain-combo bonuses. Fifty stages are divided into sets of ten, each capped by a boss — clear every enemy to advance. Two-player simultaneous co-op is the headline feature, and fully frozen enemies drop useful items upon defeat. A beloved classic on the NES alongside Bubble Bobble, Snow Bros. rewards both quick reflexes and careful positioning.
