Tales of Phantasia

The GBA version of Tales of Phantasia is a 2003 port of Namco's classic RPG. The story follows young Cress, whose village is destroyed by the powerful sorcerer Dhaos, sending him and his companions on a journey across the past, present, and future in pursuit of revenge and salvation. The game pioneered the Linear Motion Battle System (L.M.B.S.), where fights unfold in real time on side-scrolling stages with players directly controlling attacks, combos, and special skills. The GBA port adds voice acting and new content, standing as one of the era's handheld RPGs with exceptional narrative depth and battle-system sophistication.
