Zen: Intergalactic Ninja

Zen: Intergalactic Ninja is a Famicom action game released by Konami in 1993, based on the comic book of the same name. Players control Zen, an alien eco-warrior dispatched to Earth to battle Lord Contaminous — a villain literally born from humanity's pollution. The game spans 12 levels set across four environmental crisis zones: an acid-rain-ravaged forest, a blazing offshore oil platform, a toxic mine, and a nuclear contaminated region. The perspective shifts frequently between side-scrolling, top-down, and 45-degree isometric viewpoints. Zen employs a variety of ninja combat techniques and fights alongside a young Earthling named Jeremy. Its bold environmental protection message was remarkably forward-thinking for its era.
