Lunar Pool

A billiards game for the NES developed by Compile and released in 1985. The game features 60 uniquely shaped tables — including triangular, star-shaped, and other irregular forms — each posing distinct challenges for positioning and pocketing strategy. Before each stage, players can adjust the surface friction level; a lower setting lets the cue ball travel farther, raising the strategic stakes. Both single-player and two-player modes are supported. Building on standard billiards rules, the game steadily increases difficulty through its varied table configurations, offering gameplay that is simple to pick up yet consistently engaging.
